Job Title: Deputy Provost

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to serve as Deputy Provost. The Deputy Provost will play a critical role in supporting the Provost in the strategic planning and administration of academic affairs. The Deputy Provost will be a key member of the leadership team, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the designated campus and acting on behalf of the Provost as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Provost in developing and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance academic programs, research, and student success.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to academic departments and faculty in curriculum development, assessment, and accreditation processes.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Registered Nurse/Midwife with a minimum of a second-class Honors Degree in Nursing and a Master’s Degree in Nursing or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Must possess a teaching qualification (such as a PGDE/Diploma in Education Nurse/Midwife Educator) and be licensed by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
  • Must have a minimum of 15 years of relevant working/teaching experience as a Nurse, with at least two (2) years at a managerial level, preferably in a tertiary institution.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in ICT and a satisfactory ability in relevant basic digital skills applicable to modern management systems.
  • Candidates must exhibit reputable character/behavior and be physically fit for the intended role.
